As a mother turned doula, I've traversed the challenging terrains of life, weathering various adversities, from navigating the chaos of childhood to adulting like a pro (most days), I've seen it all and I pride myself on being a supportive and non-judgmental presence. There is a very good chance that you aren't the first person I've encountered in a similar situation and it takes a lot to shock me.
Through these experiences, I've gained invaluable insights and resilience. My dedication to supporting others stems from my own journey as a trauma survivor. I've undergone extensive training and education, including first aid, CPR for all age groups, and a background as a certified nurse's aide.
Additionally, I've obtained certification as a birth and postpartum doula, completed coursework in grief counseling and psychology - focusing particularly on the impact of trauma on the human psyche. Importantly, I've invested significant resources in my own therapy, which has equipped me with a deep understanding of trauma recovery and resilience - building strategies. It is my sincere commitment to guide and empower others to incorporate their trauma experiences into their own narrative and learn to thrive beyond adversity.
